Discovery | A Personal Journey is a series of artworks created for my first major solo exhibition at Mingara Gallery Phillip Island 2019.
The 15 large-scale artworks, created over the past 18 months, are inspired by my own personal experiences. These are explorative abstracts of memory and retrospection, which I have wanted to paint for some time. Each artwork is a reflection of my own personal journey of discovery – both as an artist and an individual. Whilst each painting is bright, bold and unabashed, it is also a representation of intimate introspection – creating a narrative of journeying forward with a renewed sense of optimism and discovery.
