Discovery | A Personal Journey, first major solo exhibition at Mingara Gallery Phillip Island, 1 June - 5 July 2019.
The 15 large-scale artworks, created over the past 18 months, are inspired by my own personal experiences. These are explorative abstracts of memory and retrospection, which I have wanted to paint for some time. Each artwork is a reflection of my own personal journey of discovery – both as an artist and an individual. Whilst each painting is bright, bold and unabashed, it is also a representation of intimate introspection – creating a narrative of journeying forward with a renewed sense of optimism and discovery.

Annette's latest ongoing series of beautiful abstract pieces. Part inspired by the majestic super Moon’s over Winter and part about following your heart, and not being too caught up in your plans. A freedom of choice and about making decisions that you enjoy.
Annette has drawn on her childhood memories of old Hollywood glamour, to use colours inspired by this magical era, returning to some pure abstract pieces, the result is a stunning combination.

I'm really excited about this exhibition, I have been working on the paintings for months now and I can't wait to exhibit them.
Inspired by my love of the ocean and my beautiful surrounds. I have tried to capture the moods, fun and frivolity of waves and the sea. Using resin on these paintings adds a liquidity that makes the paintings come alive.
